PokerStars is studying some alternatives in order to curb predatory attitudes of many heads-up players - they usually open multiple tables and only play with opponents they pick (usually weaker). This behavior of opening tables and then refusing to play against opponents that are not to a player's liking is already being fought on other networks .

It was yesterday that the heads-up challenge between Doug "WCGRider" Polk and Ben "Sauce1234" Sulksy started, at Full Tilt Poker's tables. The challenge consists of a heads-up dispute of 15,000 hands of $100/$200 NLHE, being that in the end the loser will have to pay the winner $100,000, (plus the money he has lost during the challenge).

Veteran australian player Billy Argyros, known as The Croc, was the big winner of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour Melbourne. The tournament had two Days 1 and 309 participants, and the final prize pool was AUD $834.300. When the Day 4 arrived, only the nine finalists took place at the table, and when there were only 3 remaining participants, they decided to split the prizes in a somewhat evenly fashion.

Missions and achievements, as well as new social features have been added. The new lobby has a nice clean look to it, but that's not the entire story. Party has also decided to add new features, the objective being adding a more social dynamic to online poker as we know it. Interaction and participation between players seems to be the key point.

Due to italian legislation, PokerStars can't directly reimburse the italian Full Tilt Players players who had their money and accounts frozen during the Black Friday.
To somehow reimburse the players and the poker community, PokerStars will offer the Tilt Mania promotion, which will deliver more than the €2 million owed to italian players until December.

The 10th edition of the PokerStars sponsored European Poker Tour has already kicked off in Barcelona. Find out what has happened so far. To start with, the first major title of the season was awarded to Vitaly Lunkin, who won the Super High Roller, beating a field of over 51 entries. For his efforts, Lunky earned €771.300.
