Veteran australian player Billy Argyros, known as The Croc, was the big winner of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour Melbourne. The tournament had two Days 1 and 309 participants, and the final prize pool was AUD $834.300.
When the Day 4 arrived, only the nine finalists took place at the table, and when there were only 3 remaining participants, they decided to split the prizes in a somewhat evenly fashion.
Check below each player's chips and the money they immediately secured:
Bowdy Tolhopf - 4,835,000 ($156.000)
David Yan - 2,680,000 ($133,000)
Billy Argyros - 1,650,000 ($115,000)
In addition to these ammounts, the winner would receive an additional $29.500.
Tolhopf eliminated David Yan in third place but, at this time, it was Billy Argyros who had the biggest stack. The Croc only took a few minutes to get all the chips in the tournament:
Tolhopf opens at the button, Argyros reraises and Tolhopf moves all-in. Argyros calls.
Tolhopf shows Ac10h, Argyros shows 8c8d. When the board comes 4c-9d-3c-6d-3s, Argyros emerges as the winner.
