Chis Moorman is unstoppable: only one week after getting his 16th Triple Crown he has achieved his 17th (and only needs one more tournament victory for his 18th)! His 17th Triple Crown was achieved with his victory at Full Tilt Poker's The Sunday Brawl.
It took 10 hours for Moorman to win The Sunday Brawl, which netted him a total of $48,760.
In order for a player to achieve a Triple Crown, a title bestowed by the
PocketFives website, he has to fulfill the following requirements: win 3 tournaments in 3 different poker rooms over a 7 day period, being that each tournament has to have at least 100 players and a prizepool bigger than $10,000 (satellites don't count for a Triple Crown).
Chris Moorman's winning streak to secure his 17th Triple Crown began at Winamax's tables, with his victory at the XTASE tournament (€100 buy-in, 201 participants; it netted Moorman $6,158.52).
His second victory was at PokerStars, in a $82 NLHE 6-Max Hyper-turbo; Moorman beat a field of 275 participants to take down the $4,643.19 first prize.
This weekend, and right after completing his 17th Triple Crown, Moorman still had the time to win a $100 tournament at PartyPoker and triumph at Full Tilt Poker's The T-Rex. Moorman has, therefore, one week to win one more tournament and secure his 18th Triple Crown.
