Last September the Macau casinos had a €2.669.415.491 revenue, which represented a 21.4% increase in comparison with the same period of 2012. For this October the analysts expect revenues to be the best ever, since various holidays will be celebrated.
These holidays are causing an increasing demand in local hotels, so it's expected that the €2.885.449.280 record (March 2013) will be surpassed. The Chinese holidays are specially relevant in casino gaming revenues, since more than two-thirds of the casinos customers are visitors from mainland China .
The analyst Aaron Fischer told Reuters the following: "Visitor growth in Macau historically has underperformed that of Hong Kong due to the infrastructure bottleneck and the lack of hotel rooms." This problem should be solved in the coming years, since the government has plans to improve local infrastructure, and several hotel-casinos from the following companies are already under construction: Sands China, Wynn Macau, Galaxy Entertainment, SJM Holdings e Melco Crown Entertainment.
