The WCGRider x Sauce1234 high-stakes challenge is almost over, and Douglas "WCGRider" Polk is showing no mercy to his adversary. Right now, WCGRider has made a profit of $596,000 from Ben "Sauce1234" Sulsky.
As described
before, the challenge between the two players involves 15,000 hands in $100/$200 NLHE tables. In the end, the winner will receive an extra $100,000, paid by the loser.
The first session of this weekend was played on Saturday, when Polk and Sulsky played 2,611 hands in about 7 hours. After this first session, WCGRider had $103,000 more under his name. The largest pot of the session was of $84,937.19.
Although "Sauce1234" is taking a beating, he has shown he is willing to fight to the bitter end. In Sunday's session, the two of them played more 2158 hands; Sauce1234 managed to have a $180,000 advantage over WCGRider during the session, but he failed to keep the lead until the end. Eventually, the winner of the session was WCGRider, who earned $4,342. The biggest pot of the session got as high as $87,090.60.
With only 1,427 hands to be played, the challenge is nearing its end.
