Sheldon Adelson made the news in Spain with a project called EuroVegas. Many demands later, the gigantic project went down the drain and the Las Vegas Sands Corp. eventually set its eyes on Asia.
Now, Sheldon has some more ideas for Spain - he wants to build a casino in Madrid and another in Barcelona.
This time, we're not talking about a mega complex with a thousand different entertainment offerings, but of a simple casino.
"I’m looking at a different model of doing Singapore-like or Japan-like or Korea-like individual IRs in individual cities. We will just take the major cities in Europe and see whether or not there is a possibility to pursue that."
The big cities Sheldon is refering to are Madrid, Barcelona, Rome, Milan, Athens and Paris.
According to what Adelson told Bloomberg, he will only consider cities with tourism infrastructure (hotels, restaurants, transportation).
Spain sure remains dubious about Sheldon. After waving with a gigantic project, which he eventually gave up on, the spanish will have to wait and see if Sheldon goes through with his plans-
