Online Poker
In March 2004, at the age of 17 years, Dwan began playing online poker at Paradise Poker $50 that his father gave him for his 17th birthday. With this initial capital began playing sits-and-go for $ 6 and lost $ 35. With his remaining $ 15 focused and managed to win some money. After this, he changed to Cash Games and when he was able to beat this mode, he went to heads-up.
In mid-November 2009, a Swedish player with the nickname "Isildur1" challenged him to a series of heads-up No Limit Holdem cash. Isildur1´s debut into online high stakes poker began in late October, however, in early November, Isildur1 had recovered his losses and challenged Dwan to a heads-up marathon playing six tables at once, with over a million dollars at stake. At the end of the week, Isildur1 become the player that won the most money in online poker history, earning approximately $ 5,000,000 out of Dwan, prompting Dwan to launch a direct challenge to play against "Isildur1" on Full Tilt Poker’s “Durrrr Million Dollar Challenge”.
