Pinnacle promises to revive Heartland Poker Tour

03 August 2012

Last June, Pinnacle Entertainment acquired all assets of Federated Sports + Gaming after an offer of $4.5 Millions. Among these assets there was Heartland Poker Tour.

Seemed that this circuit was dying, but Pinnacle shows interest in reviving it to the god old days where the events were full and players had fun, and try to establish HPT as one of the most important circuits in the USA.

Anthony Sanfilippo (pictured), CEO of Pinnacle Entertainment declared recently to PokerNews that:

“In July, we extended our development strategy and growth pipeline with the acquisition of the assets of Federated Sports and Gaming, Inc. and Federated Heartland Inc," Sanfilippo also said, "Through the Heartland Poker Tour purchase, we acquired an impressive portfolio of brands and intellectual property that will help us advance a new line of business and our online gaming strategy ... We expect the Heartland acquisition to be accretive.”

Seems that besides the 17 Events through 15 US States in 2011, Pinnacle also wants to take the 8th season of Heartland Poker Tour to St. Louis, Louisiana and Indiana.
