Will The Magician be able to join to his curriculum the One Drop High Roller of $ 111.111, after winning the Big One for One Drop of $ 1,000,000 in 2012? Esfandiari is one of the High Roller's four finalists. Still, he has the smallest stack, the leadership belonging to Bill Perkins.
The third day of Event #47 ($111.111 One Drop High Roller No-Limit Hold'em) started with 26 players (out of a total field of 166) - they knew that only the top-24 would be entitled to a paid position. Thus, the first objective of the day was to "find" the bubble boy.
The first elimination of Day 3 was the canadian Haralabos Voulgaris, who was eliminated after going against Connor Drinan (Kh-4d vs Qh-9c). A 9h on the turn gave the pot to Drinan, and sounded the bubble time alarm. The bubble still took several minutes to burst, and Yevgeniy Timoshenko was the unfortunate 25th placed in the tournament, losing at the hands of Matt Glantz. Timoshenko was all-in with As-Ah after the flop 10s-3c-5c; Glantz called with a Qc-4c, completing his flush on the turn with a 6c. All remaining 24 players were at once guaranteed a prize of $ 173.723.
Since the bubble burst action became faster and eliminations more constant. By order, the eliminated players: Steve Gross, Dan Shak, Farshad Fardad, Jason Koon, Shaun Deeb, Phil Laak, Andrew Lichtenberger, Daniel Alaei, Mike Sexton, Blake Bohn, Martin Finger, Matt Glantz, Jeremy Ausmus, Connor Drian, Lawrence Greenberg and Olivier Busquet.
Busquet was the the final table bubble, losing with Kh-Qd to Nick Schulman's As-Jc. The final table began like this:
- Antonio Esfandiari - 11,245,000
- Martin Jacobson - 8,930,000
- Chris Klodnicki - 8,775,000
- Richard Fullerton - 7,315,000
- Nick Schulman - 4,590,000
- Anthony Gregg - 3,550,000
- Bill Perkins - 3,370,000
- Brandon Steven - 2,150,000
Schulman, who eliminated the final table bubble, was the first to fall, his 10s-9s against Fullerton's As-Qd. Steven got 7th place after losing a race against Perkins. Steven was all-in with 6d-6h, losing to As-Jh, with Ah-Js right on the flop.
The only foreigner at the final table, the swede Martin Jacobson, got 6th place. His executioner was Anthony Gregg - his Qd-Qs resisted against Jacobson's Ad-Jh. Fullerton was eliminated in 5th place, in a 6c-6s all-in against Esfandiari's 10s-10d.
4 players are left in the competition:
- Antonio Esfandiari - 16,350,000
- Anthony Gregg - 15,400,000
- Chris Klodnicki - 12,650,000
- Bill Perkins - 5,475,000
The four-handed action lasted no more than 10 minutes - in this time, Perkins doubled his stack at the expense of Esfandiari. Now he leads the quartet.
In the race for a nearly $5 millions prize, the chips are distributed as follows:
- Bill Perkins - 14,700,000
- Anthony Gregg - 13,900,000
- Chris Klodnicki - 12,000,000
- Antonio Esfandiari - 9,200,000
